Change Default Site Storage Location (Volume)

In case you need the sites on your server to be created on an external volume or block storage (to be able to modify your server storage at any time) you may use this shortcode to set the location of the installation directory of newly created sites on your server.
This shortcode is available only for the Enterprise plan.

To run Nodalio shortcodes on your server, please follow this guide.

Shortcode usage format:

  • sudo nodalio sitediskchange /mnt/volume-name

Shortcode reference:

  • /mnt/volume-name – The external volume location (folder).

Once the modification is set, all sites created from now on will be placed inside the folder you specified, previously created sites will not be moved to the new location.

In order to revert to the default settings, run the shortcode again with the following syntax: sudo nodalio sitediskchange /var/www.
