Server Cache

This shortcode allows you to turn on server cache on a site installed on your server.

To run Nodalio shortcodes on your server, please follow this guide.

Shortcode usage format:

  • sudo nodalio cacheon domain.com servercache

Shortcode reference:

  • primary.com – your site’s primary domain/subdomain.
  • servercache – server cache

Technical reference:

Nodalio’s server cache uses FastCGI (PHP-FPM) to automatically generate and store your site cache. In most cases, its much faster than WordPress plugin based caching solutions, as your visitors will get the site contents directly from NGINX. This avoids server processing to generate dynamic content which allows your server to handle a much larger number of visitors.
Server cache will store your site’s contents for 60 minutes. If you wish to reduce the cache time to, for example, 10 minutes, you may use the microcaching shortcode.

Nodalio’s WordPress plugin, if installed and activated, will automatically flush the server cache in cases of most content updates. If your specific content does not automatically trigger flushing the cache, you may flush the cache manually or adapt the plugin code to your specific use cases.

To find out which caching tool is currently active on your site, you may use the siteinfo shortcode.
